# Steps to Follow:
01 - Add Yukon Gold potatoes to a large pot and cover with cold, salted water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, or until potatoes are fork-tender.
02 - Drain potatoes thoroughly and return them to the hot pot. Allow moisture to evaporate for 1 to 2 minutes.
03 - Add unsalted butter, warm whole milk, and warm heavy cream to the potatoes. Mash until smooth and creamy using a potato masher or hand mixer.
04 - Fold in the shredded smoked Gouda cheese until fully melted and mixed in.
